Empowering Through Literacy

About us!

Many African countries have struggled with low literacy rates, particularly in rural areas and among disadvantaged communities. This is often due to factors such as poverty, limited access to quality education, inadequate infrastructure and limited resources.

We aim to improve literacy levels of school going children by engaging learners and connecting rural public schools to local libraries to ignite the love for reading.

Through these actions, empower young learners by offering opportunities that strengthen their literacy abilities. This approach seeks to boost their academic achievements and enrich their quality of life, ultimately nurturing a more inclusive and prosperous society.

We believe in the transformative power of literacy. Our literacy initiative not only aims to improve reading and writing skills but also aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We recognize that literacy is a key tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. By equipping learners with essential reading and writing skills, we empower them to access information, educational opportunities, and better job prospects.

By fostering a love for reading and providing access to educational resources, we enable individuals to acquire knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and unlock their full potential. We believe that a literate society is the foundation for achieving all other development goals.

Addressing inequalities is a crucial aspect of sustainable development, and literacy plays a vital role in reducing these disparities. Our literacy initiative focuses on reaching marginalized communities, disadvantaged learners, and individuals.

Achieving sustainable development requires collaboration and partnerships. At TiEd Africa, we actively seek partnerships with government agencies, educational institutions, libraries, NGOs, and local communities to maximize our impact and create sustainable, scalable solutions.

Why we Do What We Do!

Our efforts are geared towards providing access to public schools in rural settings that are often underserved and lacking in resources. We firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of personal growth and societal development and by focusing on rural schools, we strive to bridge the education gap and empower the next generation with vital literacy skills.
